St. Fiacre Guild
St. Fiacre was a 6th century Irishman, who is the patron saint of gardeners. As more gardens bloom around the church property it seems appropriate to initiate a guild dedicated to the planting and care of the parish gardens, under the protection of St. Fiacre. The guild will meet one evening every other Wednesday during the summer months to spend one hour of labor in the gardens and then share a short repast together before adjourning for the evening.
If you are interested in learning more about this guild please contact Stephen Blaufuss at: (503) 880-8943 or the Parish Office at: (509) 534-2227.
“The many great gardens of the world, of literature and poetry, of painting and music, of religion and architecture, all make the point as clear as possible: The soul cannot thrive in the absence of a garden.”
~ St. Thomas More
